“Bobby fue el mejor mánager que jamás vistió un uniforme de los Bravos”, señaló el equipo en un comunicado. “Condujo a nuestro equipo a 14 títulos divisionales consecutivos, cinco banderines de la Liga Nacional y el inolvidable título de la Serie Mundial en 1995. Su legado como mánager de los Braves nunca será igualado”.
